Week5 - Penetrations Testing and Tools

An introduction to the topics:

• Security Testing
• We will focus on Penetration Testing
• Tools used to do Penetration Testing (there are “billions, we will only look at a few)
• How to practice Penetration Testing Skills

What to Install :cd:

Pretty much this time ;-(

Follow this guide, and install acording to your ambitions. If you go with the yellow/red track, you will have a perfect platform to continue with, if you plan for a future related to security.

I will assume you have installed the software BEFORE the lesson. We will not spend time with this in the class. This is 4. semester, so I expect you have heard about this “thing” called Google ;-)

What to Read/Watch :information_source:

• :tv: Pen Testing Tips (Cartoon introduction, with a lot of important topics in short time (10 min) )
• :green_book: Scan, as in SCAN ONLY, this Table of Content just to see how big a topic this really is (10-15 min).
• :green_book:section from the guide refered to above. Read until the section “The need for a Balanced Approach” (15 min.)
